Margin Accounts

Just what is margin?

Margin gives you the ability to borrow against your investments

Borrowing against your investments (margin borrowing) in a common brokerage account can be a very slick and strategic way to access capital or needed funds.

You don't have to sell stock to access capital from a margin account. Money can easily be transferred to a back account via an ACH withdrawal and available in one day.

Borrowing on margin acts as a line of credit with no monthly payment due. Interest on a monthly basis, is posted at the end of the month, and is just deducted from your account.

It's a loan you never have to pay off! (If you don't want to).

You will need a margin account

You will need to apply for a margin account for any of the above to happen. In order to start off with a margin account you need at least $2,000.00 posted to your account. We tell our clients that you should start with a minimum of $2,500.00 to avoid temporarily falling below margin requirements and having the inability to borrow or trade with the stock market broker's capital.
